The availability of short-term, intensive study abroad courses in Latin America during summer/winter breaks was also a huge perk of the program. I do not think academic standards at the undergrad level at a medieval university were particularly high. Sometimes I see Latin written with macrons, like latīna, but it wasn't until I started studying Latin that I noticed it. I was looking at Hansen & Quinn's 'Greek: An Intensive Course' on Amazon. Swain of Bemidji State University concerning two intensive language courses in Latin and Old English. I am copying information forwarded by Dr. Waterfield rated 4.0/5.0: As is so generously hinted in the title, this course is intensive and can be off putting when you first open up the course book. How important are these diacritics and is it considered wrong to omit them?
